Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 3, 2026
Last updated: November 3, 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information

Wing Cheung Hing Company Limited operates Ruveth at https://ruveth.com and is the data user under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and the controller where that term applies to our processing. This policy explains how we handle information about visitors, customers and people who contact us. Shopify hosts the store and may also process data for its own purposes as described in its own privacy notices.

2. Information we collect and its sources

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email, billing and shipping addresses, and telephone number when supplied.

  • Order and transaction details: purchased or considered products, order value, payment status, payment-provider references, delivery, returns, cancellations and support history.

  • Account information: account identifiers and preferences if you use an account. Authentication is handled through the relevant platform.

  • Communications: messages and attachments you choose to send, including photographs submitted for a product issue.

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, pages visited, referral information and interactions collected through platform logs and permitted cookies or similar technologies.

  • Preferences: consent records, cookie settings and newsletter choices.

We receive information directly from you, automatically through the store, and from payment, platform and fulfillment providers involved in your transaction. Payment credentials are entered into the checkout or the relevant provider's service. We receive information needed to manage the transaction; please do not send complete payment credentials by email.

3. Why we use information

We use necessary information to take and fulfill orders, process payments and refunds, arrange delivery and returns, answer inquiries, administer accounts, protect the store from fraud, maintain records and meet legal obligations. We use optional analytics and advertising information only where the relevant features are enabled and the necessary consent or other lawful permission applies.

Providing information is generally voluntary, but we cannot fulfill an order without the required contact, payment and delivery details, or answer an inquiry without a way to respond. Newsletter enrollment and non-essential cookie consent are optional and are not conditions of purchase.

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, our bases include performing your purchase contract or taking steps you request before it, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as proportionate fraud prevention and service administration, and consent for activities that require it. We consider your rights when relying on legitimate interests.

4. Direct marketing

With your consent where required, we use your email address and, if supplied for this purpose, name to send Ruveth news and offers about decorative cushion covers and home décor. We do not treat a purchase, a support inquiry or acceptance of the Terms as marketing consent.

You can decline enrollment, use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or email support@ruveth.com to withdraw consent without charge. We may still send essential order and service messages. We do not provide your contact details to another business for that business's own direct marketing without the separate consent required by law.

5. Who receives information

We share information proportionately with service-provider categories that help operate the store: Shopify and hosting or technology providers; the payment provider you select; fulfillment partners and carriers; customer support and communication providers; and professional advisers where necessary. Analytics or advertising partners receive information only where those features are enabled and permitted by your choices and applicable law.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to valid legal processes, protect legal rights or investigate fraud. A corporate transaction may involve a lawful transfer of relevant business records with appropriate safeguards and notice where required. We require processors acting on our behalf to protect the information and use it for the agreed purpose.

Depending on the features enabled, some disclosures for personalized advertising may qualify as a “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising under applicable US state privacy laws even if no money is exchanged. Where those laws apply, you can exercise the relevant opt-out through available privacy controls or by contacting us. We will honor qualifying opt-out preference signals as required by applicable law.

6. Cookies and choices

Essential cookies and similar technologies support functions such as the cart, checkout, security and storing privacy preferences. Optional technologies may support analytics, personalization or advertising. The cookie banner and preferences panel let you accept, decline non-essential purposes or manage choices. Non-essential technologies that require consent must not load before you give it. You can change your choices through the store's cookie preferences control.

Browser settings may also block or delete cookies, although some necessary store functions may be affected. A general “Do Not Track” setting is not necessarily the same as a legally recognized opt-out signal. We handle legally required signals according to the applicable rules. Cookie consent is separate from email marketing consent.

7. International processing

Our operating company is in Hong Kong, and Shopify and other providers may process information in other countries, including the United States and Canada. International data flows depend on the services used for your transaction. Where transfer safeguards are required by applicable law, we use the relevant lawful mechanism, such as appropriate contractual protections. Information sent to the US returns warehouse for an authorized return is used to identify and process that return.

8. Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including completing orders, dealing with returns and disputes, meeting accounting or legal recordkeeping requirements and protecting against fraud. Applicable recordkeeping periods and unresolved claims may require retention after an order is completed. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed. We keep limited suppression information where necessary to respect an opt-out.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and processing. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us if you suspect misuse of your information in connection with the store.

9. Access, correction and other rights

Under Hong Kong law, you may request access to your personal data and correction of inaccurate data. Submit requests to the Privacy Contact at support@ruveth.com or our registered office below. We may request proportionate verification and respond within the applicable statutory period. Any legally permitted access fee will be explained and will not exceed the permitted amount.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, information about processing, or opt-out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Where the law provides an appeal, contact us to appeal a privacy request decision. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights. An authorized agent may act where permitted, subject to appropriate verification.

If you are in the EEA or UK and the relevant law applies, you may complain to your supervisory authority. You may also contact Hong Kong's Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data. Please contact us if you want to raise a concern directly.

10. Shopify and external services

Shopify provides store infrastructure and may act in a separate role for certain platform or enhanced services, where enabled. Read the Shopify Privacy Policy and use the Shopify Privacy Portal for information and rights requests concerning Shopify's own processing. External websites and payment services have their own privacy notices.

11. Children and updates

The store is intended for adults making household purchases. We do not knowingly collect information from children for marketing. If you believe a child has supplied personal data, contact us so we can assess and address the issue.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the store, our practices or applicable law. The current version and update date appear on this page. We will provide additional notice or obtain new consent where required. The Privacy Contact is Wing Cheung Hing Company Limited, using the details below.
